Some days are fantastic, but some are very tough, even in the greatest country in human history. That is why we Americans who still believe in God, rely on our faith and pray for our leaders and fellow citizens so fervently. President Trump’s near-death experience only made his faith deeper and more firmly established his realization that he is a faith leader of the American people. These last few days with the tragedy in Texas unfolding, our faith has been tested, but God also show’s us every day that our faith in Him is rightly placed, as we see our fellow citizens respond with strength and compassion. I scheduled today’s guest weeks ago for just before July 4th and then had to move him to today because we could not do the show last week due to unforeseen circumstances. All I can say is the Lord works in mysterious ways because we need him today more than we did last week. Pastor Jackson Lahmeyer is a key member of the White House Faith Council and was present when President Trump signed the Executive Order establishing it. As founder of Pastors For Trump, a national coalition with pastors in all 50 states, and lead pastor of Sheridan Church in Tulsa, Lahmeyer has become one of the most outspoken voices for faith in politics. He is also the author of the new book Chasing After the Wind, which explores the elusive pursuit of happiness in life and its connection to holiness. It emphasizes that everyone is chasing happiness, yet few seem to attain it, often leading to unholy decisions.
