Late last week a leaked Pentagon memo signed by Secretary Hegseth calls for the US military to prioritize resources against China, labeling it the "sole threat." The guidance emphasizes troop presence and warns against a potential Taiwan takeover. Hegseth also reaffirmed Washington’s commitment to its alliance with Japan.
