Press secretary Karoline Leavitt announced last Tuesday that the White House has taken control over the make up the White House press pool, brushing aside the liberal White House Correspondents’ Association. The WHCA provided a laughable response screeching that the move is an attack on a free and independent press. Consider these words in the context of what we’ve learned about the US AID scandal and its funding of American media outlets for the specific purpose of influencing American society, yes, hundreds of millions of your tax dollars being given to press outlets like the Associated Press and Reuters so you get the government message! The rot and corruption are much deeper than you realize however. Outlets lie Reuters and AP are heavily involved in how much access independent and legacy media outlets have to commonly used content, like the presidential press pool video live stream and breaking news content.
