On 9/11 I was a LTC Plans team lead for CFLCC (3d Army....."Coalition Forces Land Component Command"). Early morning 12 Sept, the SECDEF ordered CENTCOM and CFLCC to start planning to take down Iraq. Think about that....we knew that Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 but yet our #1 planning effort instantly switched in less than 24hrs from destroying Al Qaida to destroying Iraq. Afghanistan became a side show and we deliberately let Osama escape to Pakistan.
